Shot Analysis
Before making our trailer, we researched and analysed the content of other trailers to determine how many shots we should include in ours. We took an average from each totalled together which gave us the amount of shots which we should use.
IT (2017)
In the trailer for Andy Muschietti's 'IT' we counted a total of 95 shots with an average of 1.5 seconds/shot.
Get Out
In the trailer for Jordan Peele's 'Get Out' we counted a total of 150 shots with an average of 1.5 seconds/shot.
Split
In the trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's 'Split' we counted a total of 106 shots with an average of 1.5 seconds/shot.
The Hatred
In Michael Kehoe's 'The Hatred' we counted a total of 42 shots with an average of 3 seconds/shot.
Don't Knock Twice
In Caradog W. James's 'Don't Knock Twice' we counted a total of 68 shots with an average of 1.5 seconds/shot.
Happy Death Day
In Christopher B. Landon's 'Happy Death Day' we counted a total of 143 shots with an average of 0.9 seconds/shot.
Final Thoughts
After conducting a content analysis of each trailer, we determined that we should aim to include 60 shots within our 90 second trailer in order to follow the standard within each trailer currently.
